I was approached by previous RingGo directors to assist in the set up of the Finance function, processes for this start up. I prepared a 5 year business plan and robust model and processed all transactions. I prepared monthly management accounts and weekly cashflow updates. I also set up bank accounts, credit cards, VAT registration, payroll and pension providers. Unfortunately the business ceased as they were unable to secure seed funding. The home of RingGo, cashless parking market leader. Processing over 50m transactions, with a value of £230m per year. Initially recruited as a Financial Controller, by the founder and owner, the business was looking for a senior individual part-time, to set up the finance department in a robust manner to ensure the systems and processes could cope with the expected rapid growth. Introduced monthly management reports when the business was still very young. Closed books rigorously each month allowing the figures to be relied upon and to form the basis of the statutory accounts. Supported the founder/owner during sale of business in 2012 to Park Mobile Group BV, including responding to due diligence questions. UK project lead in the implementation of Microsoft AX Dynamics. Support to the group finance team when Park Mobile Group BV was sold to BMW in 2016. Once part of the BMW group streamlined end of month close process and cut the reporting down from 7 days to 3 to coincide with the parent external reporting timetable. Prepared base data for payroll processing by an external party. Completed P11d’s and VAT returns. Balance Sheet reconciliations, involving control accounts that transacted up to £60m per annum. Maintained relationships with bankers, auditors and insurers. Managed and Developed team to ensure consistent high quality output and that the necessary support was being provided across the business. Successfully defended, in Sep 17, a workplace tribunal resulting in the claimants case being dismissed on all counts. Finance Business Partner to the senior management, providing deal support and pricing evaluations for tenders and financial evaluations of various projects. Bottoms up budgeting and forecasting, requiring the deployment of an Excel model to cope with the many commercial pricing scenarios.
