As the HR Generalist for 1-800 Hansons, I focus on recruiting for the entire company (10 states = 17 locations) for W2 employees as well as 1099 subcontractors. During this time, I created our New Hire Orientation for the entire company as well as come up with new and creative ways of how to continuously attract excellent candidates. I also work closely with our benefit and compensation packages including getting open enrollment processed yearly. I also connect with all team members and managers regarding compliance and any ethic issues if they may arise. I also handle all of the miscellaneous duties that come with party planning, ordering supplies when needed, etc. Show less

    • Recruiter
      • Aug 2013 - Present

Currently I have been the only Recruiter for 1-800 Hansons, LLC and handle all 12 of our locations. This is including our Corporate office that currently has 25 different departments in itself. I am in charge of updating job postings, reviewing resumes, contacting candidates, scheduling interviews and sending offer letters to new hires to the company! I am continuously updating data from our Applicant Tracking System so we can focus on the best areas to post for certain opportunities. Currently we are using ADP for our recruiting/hr/payroll processes but I am also familiar with using ReadyPay Proliant's system and have the ability to learn other applicant tracking systems as well. We are now becoming a nationwide company which means I am handling all of the recruiting aspects for multiple departments at all of our 12 locations! This opportunity has taught me how to handle stressful deadlines, update reports on a daily basis and also voice my opinions on what we need to do as a company to keep competitive and keep employees happy with their careers. As one of the office administrative assistants, I helped with day to day responsibilities such as but not limited to; taking customer calls and emails, write up quotes for customers regarding what type of product they are in need of, scheduling deliveries as well as filing paperwork. I also helped with some of the hiring process such as interview candidates for certain positions and give my feedback to management to see if we need to move forward with someone or not. I started out at the Uptown Entertainment movie theaters (Palladium 12, Birmingham 8 and Ren Cen 4) as an entry level employee. I helped with selling tickets, working the concession as well as ushering the theaters. I quickly moved up to the Guest Services role within 3 months of employment. Then, I received another promotion as a team leader by the time I hit my 6 months of employment. I supervised employees throughout the building as well as help lead some events that we would hold. After 1 year of working for Uptown Entertainment, I became a Teller. This is somewhat of an assistant manager role. I would be the one in charge of handling the money, distributing change when needed, make deposits to the banks as well as hold out my team leader and guest service roles. Show less
