My Roles: Project Manager of Website Design/Development, Information Architect, Content Writer/Editor My role was to manage this eight-month project from conception to launch. The challenge was to create a public website which would act as an information resource for the Student Support Services Department (SSSD), and also act as a web portal to 37 unique SSSD Programs. I developed and managed the project plan, schedule, deliverables and milestones; mapped out the approval process; and identified potential risks and resolution methods. I coordinated the efforts of all project resources including senior management, other contractors and creative and technical staff. I led scoping sessions with the client team to identify the goals and intended outcomes of the project; target audience; and developed personas to aid in creating the design concept and message. I developed the information architecture (in Word and Visio), and ensured the user-centric site concept and architecture were carried over to the graphic design phase. I also managed the site content generation process, involving approximately 250 pages of text and documents from 37 different SSSD departments. I edited all content for consistency, style and grammar. We gained approval from senior management and launched the site.
