As a part of PBOT's Development Review Division, I assist in making determinations on Land-Use applications, public works alternatives, and scoping of traffic studies. I serve as a technical advisor to PBOT building review and transportation planning staff regarding traffic operations for various types of developments. Determine scope of work and review plans for traffic signal projects related to large and mid-sized development. Assist other departments regarding work zone traffic control/major detours for bridge closures and review public works projects as part of the Traffic Engineering Development team. Assess multi-modal impacts to the transportation system.

Review commercial site plans and provide traffic operational guidance while maintaining safety standards. Manage Neighborhood Traffic Mitigation Program and provide engineering support for operational changes such as traffic signal installations and striping projects as well as modifications of existing infrastructure. Review various traffic studies as needed. Meet with developers to discuss site impact on traffic operations. Develop striping and signing plans as needed. Respond to public requests as needed. Coordinate with the North Alabama TMC.

I spent most of my time analyzing a truss system located in front of a missile to keep it from flying away during testing.
