Rachel has interned for me at the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC) for the Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy (GBJCL). I could not have been more thrilled with Rachel’s performance, her drive and her spirit. With her strong multi-tasking capability, Rachel was able to assist in executing annual trademark events such as orientations and appreciation events while also completing three new special projects in unchartered territory. The ability to balance both day to day tasks concurrently with long range planning is a skill that is rare amongst those at Rachel’s experience level and one that generally needs decades to hone. The skills Rachel has, including knowing when to step up and when to step back, understanding she has a lot to contribute and naturally a lot to continue to learn as well, poises her to succeed in whatever path she chooses to take but particularly in the public sector where relationships and political capital are key influencers to making effective change.
