  For two weeks in July, I had the chance to with in all the different animal departments at Marwell Zoo. I was based on birds and but got to experience what it was like as a keeper in Carnivores, Primates, Hoofstock, and Reptiles for the day. I learnt about the different nutritional requirements for each species on each section and the different routines. Some of the animals that I was able to work with were: Wrinkle Hornbills, Bleeding Heart Doves, Penguins, Rhinos, Zebras, Giraffes, Bokiboky, Red Pandas, Binturongs, Gibbons, Red Ruff Lemurs, Royal Pythons and the Crocodile Monitor.   Throughout June, I had the opportunity to work at Cotswold Wildlife Park with the Bird keepers. I was taught all about the different species of birds that they have at the park and was able to learn about each species nutritional requirements and their daily husbandry routines. During my placement I had the pleasure of working with the Penguins, Blue and Gold Macaws, Frog Mouths, Scarlet Ibis, Swainsons Lorikeets, Monal pheasants, Turacos and many other species.
