I work with youth with disabilities advocating for their independence. I help our youth learn independent living skills while teaching BASE classes and helping parents and kids navigate IEP and 504 plans. I am also on the volunteer committee, training all new volunteers and placing them in proper jobs around SCIL. I was a caseworker for those with disabilities in the surrounding area on the consumer directed services program until i moved to a youth advocate in October 2013.
