  • Upper Darby Summer Stage
    • Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, United States
    • Scenic Charge Artist
      • Jun 2019 - Aug 2019

I was the Scenic Charge Artist for Upper Darby Summer Stage, an eight week summer stock educational theater program. In this position I was responsible for educating high school aged campers in scenic painting. I also managed my staff of two scenic artists, an intern, and an apprentice. During the summer, Upper Darby Summer Stage produces 6 children’s theater shows, one main stage production, and several small one time performances. As the Scenic Charge artist I managed, planned, and executed the painting and applied textures of every set design of the summer season. Prior to being the Scenic Charge, I grew up through the Upper Darby Summer Stage program, first being a “summer stager” or camp member, then I held an apprentice role in the paint shop, then I went on to be a Scenic Artist for two years, and the Assistant Scenic Charge for one year until finally holding the Scenic Charge Artist position in during the 2019 summer season.
