Having worked with NFU Mutual after deciding 6th form wasn't for me, I completed 4 years with them and obtained various Personal & Commercial Lines in-house licences, whilst gaining an understanding of the Principles of Insurance. My role largely consisted of the selling and amendment of Insurance policies in line with strict compliance and procedures. My role changed in the later period of my employment, and became more claims focused. Handling both DA and non-DA claims for both commercial and personal policyholders. This involved handling the claim from cradle to grave, advising whether relevant cover was in place and deducting relevant excesses. Overall, this role involved use of in-house systems, Microsoft Office and Outlook. I was also responsible for the basic Health & Safety Procedures in the office. Show less
