I also use SOPs and can adhere to rigorous health and safety and quality guidelines to ensure high quality results are being achieved. I am currently being trained in a wide range of techniques including pipette skills, data analysis and quality checking, immunoassay protocol, equipment qualification and calibration, disinfection policies and working in a cat 1 microbiological hood. Also recently completed a training day in the meningococcal reference unit learning about the molecular serotyping of meningococcal bacteria and the epidemiological studies of the disease.
