Working from the Ashbourne Office of Flint Bishop LLP. Dealing with all matters concerning Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts.Advised farming clients on their estates and drafted their wills for them. Many farming clients have issues in respect of which of their children should inherit the farm and what the other children will inherit instead of the farm. Coming from a farming background I was able to sit down and talk to the clients about the type of farms they have, the amount of land they have, the development potential in the farm land and buildings and the reliefs that would be available on either their death or at that time if they decided to transfer the farm land and business before their death. Most farms within the Ashbourne area would attract Inheritance Tax or Capital Gains Tax if not handled correctly. Advised on high value estates of up to £10million. This included dealing with agricultural assets, business assets - in the client's sole name, a partnership or a limited company, foreign assets including assets in America, France and Uganda and issues in respect of domicile. Attending relevant networking events on behalf of Flint Bishop.Organised local networking events on behalf of Flint Bishop for agents and clients.Forging and maintaining professional relationships with local agents.
