  • Co-led lively, innovative services with the Rabbi, with the goal of maximizing youth participation • Leynd the majority of the triennial portion each Shabbat • Augmented a program which increased the number of active Torah readers, by actively targeting former b'nei mitzvah students and adult congregants • Oversaw the training of approximately 15 b'nei mitzvah candidates, teaching the ta'amey hamikra for both Torah and Haftarah, as well as significant portions of the Torah service, the Sh'ma and its Blessings and the Friday evening service • Co-taught, with the Rabbi, both third and sixth grade • Revamped the sixth grade curriculum which industriously integrated the teaching of Torah trope into the religious school year • Partnered with religious school colleagues to expand the musical curriculum of the religious school, both as a whole and within individual grades • Successfully collaborated with the Rabbi and religious school colleagues on a family congregational program for the eighth night of Chanukah, which included inviting members from the local assisted living community to share in our festivities, lighting the chanukiah, and traditional and modern Chanukah songs led by the various religious school grades • Effectively continued and expanded an adult Hebrew class started by my predecessor • Co-developed and participated in a creative interfaith pre-Thanksgiving sing-along of iconic American songs • Currently in the process of: --- Recruiting, rehearsing and presenting a congregational Purimspiel with a Beatles theme --- Expanding the number of Megillah readers --- Creating a Passover skills class which will highlight how to lead a Seder and traditional and modern Seder melodies --- Crafting a Shabbat skills class which will highlight how to lead a Friday night dinner as well as modern and traditional z'mirot melodies --- Developing a plan to restart a congregational adult or youth choir Show less
