Ed was an insightful engineer and manager for whom I have a great deal of respect.

I worked for Ed English at 3M Precision Optics as a Precision Engineering R&D team leader and later as a Metrology Specialist. I found Ed to be a very effective technical and business leader. Ed’s success at 3M Precision Optics is evidence of his ability to effectively manage a diverse, talented engineering team composed of optical, mechanical and electronic engineers. In addition to Ed’s skill as an optical engineer and manager, he also has an extensive understanding of precision machining and metrology processes. It was a pleasure to work for a manger that understood the intricacies of Precision Engineering and appreciated the elegance of a simple solution to a complex technical problem.
