Working as a General Counsellor, I looked after campers between the age group of 7-19, who were diagnosed with mild to moderate learning disability, Autism and ADHD. This supplanted my skills to work with mentally disabled clients of various age groups. As I have already been working in the UK in the same field, the two months work experience in the States have not only enhanced my expertise but also, most importantly, helped me to feel more confident in performing the role of a Support Worker aka Health Care Assistant with compatibility and ease. This experience has provided me with the opportunity of working at a summer camp for the first time and most importantly, teaching various subjects which were based on American curriculum helped me to gain knowledge about the way American schools impart education and the manner in which kids are required to be taught.
