-Supervise the activities, employees and equipment sustainability of the lab in conformance with the approved systems.- Plan, organize, assign, review, and evaluate the work of assigned professional and technical support staff-Analyze and approve the validation/verification data and prepare the validation files for the analytical test methods. -Revise and write technical papers: i.e. SOPs ,WI and reports and prepare specifications for processes.-Evaluate the new analysis requested from the laboratories management and check the feasibility to do them.-Set up specifications for new items (analytical equipment and apparatus) needed by the laboratory and evaluate the quotations offered by the suppliers.-Supervise and assure the application of all policies, procedures and work instruction related to safety and quality systems. - Supervise the external and internal training of lab staff for both food and environment parameters.-Achieving national and international accreditation from the Jordanian accreditation unit (JAS) and SWEDAC accreditation body for many food and environmental tests (as aflatoxins, melamine , preservative ,ethanol in non alcoholic drinks , antioxidant in oils and fats , pesticide residues in drinking water and THMs, VOCs in drinking water) according to ISO 17025 requirements.
