I had the wonderful opportunity to have Qing in my Academic English class. I appreciated her willingness to participate in class and share her thoughts, when other students were hesitant to do so. I know Qing to be a confident and friendly individual who is willing to help others. She is a very intelligent and sociable individual.

To whom it may concern, Qing Li, Student Security Officer 58, had been a security officer for Brigham Young University-Hawaii (BYUH) and the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) from October 2022 to December 2022, for a period of three months. As the Director of BYUH Campus Safety and Security and during the period Li worked for my department, I have observed Li and witnessed her ability to interact with students, faculty, staff and visitors. Li has great people skills. She has shown that she is not only friendly but she is intuitive and can immediately connect to people. She is sincere, engaging and compassionate. I have witnessed Li ability to make others feel warm and welcomed even in a difficult environment such as safety and security. Li was an excellent student security officer. Li's security skills were advanced. As a security officer she received incoming calls for service and she responded to both emergency and non-emergency calls. She is capable at people soft, excel, Microsoft word, power point and Spillman Nova (Computer Aided Dispatch System). I believe that Li would be an excellent candidate for positions that requires trust and confidence. She is mature and has a natural ability to lead and communicate. She is respectful, spiritual, organized and a superb leader. Li shared her BYU-Hawaii story and expressed her gratitude at the BYUH President's Dinner on Thursday, November 3, 2022, and she did an outstanding job. It is without reservation that I highly recommend Li for whatever position of responsibility she seeks. It would be my honor to provide more detailed information regarding Li and you are encouraged to contact me personally on my cellular phone 808.312.2619 or at my personal email at anthony.pickard@byuh.edu. Sincerely, Anthony Pickard Director BYU-Hawaii Campus Safety and Security
