In this research role, I conducted proximity analysis on the retailers of heated tobacco products to participating schools using ArcGIS Pro to assess for potential associations with student use of those products. I independently processed, geocoded, managed, and documented the retailer data and school data to the support the research project. Session Chair
-
Oct 2018 - Oct 2018
Session on October 19, 2018 "Behaviour Change for Sustainable Cities is an Urban Thinkers Campus held in partnership with the United Nations Programme for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat), under the World Urban Campaign. Urban Thinkers Campuses are action-oriented conferences aimed at building effective partnerships for localizing global frameworks, particularly the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda." As the chair for the Tools and Strategies Session for Data-Driven Approaches, I gave a brief overview of the potential uses of data and applications of data-driven approaches, and introduced the session speakers. I facilitated discussion during the session with directed questions, drawing on my own background and experience with data-driven approaches in the city context. Show less
