Coordinated with users and developers to provide cost effective solution to system modification requests. • Managed the Y2K project and coordinated the data center move from Foster city, CA to HQ in New York. Persuaded the management to upgrade the software to client/server GUI considering the data center move to New York and configured the application (forms) server under the LAN and re-locating only the Oracle database servers. Major code conversion was through software products available in the market and Unix SED scripts. Result: Proved the effectiveness of buy Vs build by automatic conversion; fast turn-over from QA due to minimal errors; smooth transition six months ahead of corporate deadline; upgraded the software from obsolete to the latest GUI.
