Erin Crandall
Puja is a rare and exceptional finance leader. I had the pleasure of working with her for 4 years in grants management at Teach For America, as her team leader and as a colleague on our finance leadership team. Puja is incredibly detail-oriented and efficient. She is a creative problem-solver, who asks questions and seeks to use financial systems to their fullest. While others are content to download and manipulate data in excel, Puja figures out how to make Workday do the heavy-lifting so she can focus on strategic output. But beyond her high-quality work product, Puja operates with a "people-first" orientation and goes above and beyond to promote strong team culture. She identifies and prioritizes strategies that promote racial equity, and actively pursues learning opportunities in this space. Puja is a huge asset to any team and I highly recommend working with her!
Shalini Lall
Having worked with Puja for three years within a large national non-profit that regularly pursues federal funding opportunities, I know her work well. Her ability to work independently and compliantly- adhering to incredibly complex federal laws and policies is unparalleled. In addition to her deep public grants subject matter expertise, she is a strong collaborator, who worked to bring together numerous stakeholders to inform her work, as well as a strong communicator-- often making complex ideas digestible to a broad audience.
