Merci Sandra!

Since March 2020, I have been contributing to the design and production of events that bring focus on the growing bicultural Omek community. Whether partnering with global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Foot Locker, Eastpak, Holland Festival or Booking.com, or solely aiming to bring the community together to enhance exchange and collaboration, these events share a common goal: working towards creating social change that has a positive impact. Through French-in-Amsterdam, I have developed a set of activities that offer visitors the opportunity to discover Amsterdam and its many marvelous hidden spots in a fun way. Whether it is intended to reinforce bonds between business partners or help students to know about the history of Amsterdam in a less formal manner than a guided tour, those activities make up the perfect mix between entertainment and discovery. Amsterdam Evénements is a DMC (Destination Management Company) agency dedicated to French-speaking publics. As the main Event Production Manager, I have grown the customers portefolio of the agency by twice and significantly enriched its catalog. I lead from A to Z the roll-out running through the lifecycle of the different projects, including the execution of tasks such as: - design of creative and competitive offers - negotiation with contractors and stakeholders - staff management - scheduling - coordination of the logistics The diversity in the size (10 - 500 pax) and format (3 days seminar to gala dinner) of the events mobilizes my ability to easily adapt to new contexts. An acute attention to details, proactivity and good time management are among the skills I engage to ensure a cost-effective and successful management of the projects I conduct. Show less

In 2018, I was taking over the publication of a weekly agenda article (in French), “les Suggestions de la Semaine” for the blog Découvrir-Amsterdam. It lists about 40 references (outings suggestions, address recommendations, cultural events, etc.) accessible to non-Dutch speakers. In November 2019, I joined La French Radio and its Benelux team. I hosted a short podcast dedicated to highlight a variety of cultural events happening in the Netherlands. For my second year of internship, I chose a worldwide industrial company. Being in an international environment allowed me to improve my professional English. Working for an industry company broadened my skills set to the BtoB communications actions. I was lucky enough that my internship managers valued my creativity skills and let me produce multiple communications and sales tools (visual, video, texts) in both English and French. These tools targeted the external audiences such as potential clients, partners and providers but also internal once as employees. I also participated in the creation of the content that shaped the group's image on Brochot Group's different websites. I briefly got to work on an event project with the group's participation to a international industry fair in Paris. I was happy that my two internships were so complementary that I got to develop skills in both Event planning and Communications. Show less

This first year of internship of my master program was a successful start in the professional life. IFLS (now merged within the "Institut du Commerce" organzation) was an association that aimed at creating a synergy for the constant renewing of retail in France. Being in an association often implies a multiple task job, which I really liked. I was therefore at the same time a customer service agent, an event producer and a brand and image developer. I assisted in the organization of events of different formats, on a regular basis (minimum 3 events per month). I naturally took part in the promotion of those events, through the web and on physical supports (newsletters, website, social media, company brochure, etc). This internship definitely planted seeds that grew my enthusiasm for developing my career around events planning. Show less
