There's a stark difference in the way individual tutoring is done when compared with classrooms. I learned that the hard way when I first stepped foot into a large classroom as a teacher. I realized that keeping the context of the learning gaps of tens of students is humanly impossible. You resort to giving advice without context and rely on guesswork. Once I identified this gap, Thrive EdTech was born. We put together a solid team of tech, product, and growth talent to solve the measurement gap and build a complete learning solution for students. 3 key elements of education today are: learn, practice, and ask. We started with "practice" and really put a dent in the very first segment we launched. We captured over 80% of that segment. Gradually we added "learn" elements such as video courses, notes, and live classes. Did all of that work? Yes! Our premium users made up 40% of the students that got into the prestigious IBA, Dhaka University(The "Ivy League" business school of Bangladesh. Now we're taking things to the next level by building "ask". Once we allow students to solve their doubts instantly, our coverage of the entire education stack will be complete. We founded Thrive to fundamentally challenge the existing practices in education and bring about a revolution in education delivery mechanisms in Bangladesh. We are bringing design thinking, human-centered design, and agile practices to education. And the market is responding really, really well.
