Project Leader for an Environmental Impact Study. The project looked at the long term ecological impacts of tsetse fly removal. In this work the effects of different land use systems, wildlife and communal farmland, on the diversity and structure of the flora, certain faunal groups (large mammals, rodents, birds, dung beetles and butterflies) and soil nutrients were investigated.The study took place in three countries, two areas of northern Zimbabwe, Gokwe (Chizarira National Park/Simuchembu Communal Land and Kanyati Omay wildlife area/Kanyati Communal Land), one site in Burkina-Faso (Maoon Valley), and one site in Ethiopia (Ghibe Valley).
