Priyadrashini is known to me since 2009, when she joined our department at PSG Tech, as a Fresher for her BE(EEE) course. I have handled her subjects, namely, Electric Circuits, Computer Networks, and Java Programming. I could not resist sharing her first interaction with me in one of the sessions on Electric Circuits. I have said that the voltage across a short-circuit would be Zero Volts and the resistance associated with the short-circuit would be Zero Ohms. Also, the various wires or printed copper circuits that connect circuit elements can be considered as short-circuits. Suddenly, she shoot me the question: "With Zero Voltage across a wire, i.e., a short circuit, how can there be a non-zero current?" I got initially shocked by the power of the question. But I was quick to use the Mathematics I know; i.e. 0/0 is the current through the short-circuit and though the value of 0/0 is indeterminate, its value can always be obtained using L.H.Rule and would a be finite one and it could be varying from instance to instance, like Lt X->0 (3sin(X)/X) gives 3 once and Lt X->0 (5sin(X)/X) give 5 next, though both are Indeterminate. Like wise, the Ohms Law decides the current that flows through the wire or the short-circuit. Hope that she got convinced. She is very sharp in interrupting with a question and getting it clarified. Has very good communication and soft skills. Out-spoken in Meetings, and a very productive and pleasant person to work with. Very happy to have registered my Recommendation here. All the Best in all her future endeavors.
