  As a percussion instructor for the Northwest Cabarrus High School Marching Band, I was able to teach the percussion section different rudiments, techniques, and help them learn many selections of sheet music. The music ranged anywhere from pep-tunes for football games, or music for their half-time show. I was able to travel to many different competitions with the band and saw how their skills were rewarded. I was able to connect very well with the students and motivate them to do the best they could. Show less

  As a temporary assistant for Dixon Valve, I was able to help out with projects around the plant that would aid in worker efficiency. These projects include taking inventory, moving the inventory to another location, building and adding on to the tool room, and cleaning machines and parts. I was able to learn a lot from the workers and other supervisors about their jobs and how it pertains the my desired degree. Things such as concepts, measurements, parts, and development were all things that were demonstrated. Show less
