What a gem! Preeti exemplifies what organizations need from their HR partners in the 21st century - the ability to see the forest AND the trees. An HR professional with that wonderful, but rare, blend of strategic ability, ability to connect with people, integrity, and HR knowledge, Preeti is the real deal. It is easy to get confused and lose sight of the real goals, when an organization places heavy bets on peak performance. Such was the competitive environment where I first met her. Financial incentives were aplenty and one would either achieve stack pinnacle or lose relevance owing to the mad rush of chasing targets. Very few had the grit to carry that steam forward month on month. I found Preeti to be one such person. A very balanced head rests on those able shoulders. She had the task cut out in her head. While chasing targets and deadlines, she never went off track with the goals of the department/organization. Someone with tremendous personal discipline, and a steady stream of 'out of the box ideas'; she was a superb addition to our existing team. Someone who was approachable, balanced and always willing to assist colleagues by sharing best practices: she remains one of those people I'd look forward to work with again - in future!
