  Interpreting Codes/Standards/Specifications for assigned Jobs and review of Drawings. Prepare and Certification of Welding Procedure (WPS) and conduct the Procedure Qualification, Welders/Welding Operator in accordance with ASME Sec IX & AWS D1.1 Monitoring daily inspection and fabrication activity for entire Structural/Hull. Coordinate closely with Client and Class representatives for daily inspection activities. Ensure the correct material, WPS, Qualified Welders used and also ensure correct welding consumables been used for the job. In process inspection of Welding activities to ensure job is carried out as per approved WPS and communicate Welding Procedure, preheat and inter pass temperature to Welding Supervisors, Welders and Welding Operators. Carryout fit up, final visual and dimensional inspections according to the Construction Drawings and ensuring the dimensions and weld size are in the given tolerances as per Code and Client Specifications. Ensure the Joint preparation, condition is correct as per the WPS specified, also check dimensions are as per latest AFC Drawings and alignment, levelness are within the tolerance limits prior to call for client Inspection. Quality Supervision of the ongoing work and preparing daily reports of the activities. Look after weldments visually and offer for further NDE and follow up the NDE reports and status as per specification requirements. Review PWHT procedure, calibration records of the equipment used for PWHT and witness PWHT activity and review the records, reports for Structure and Piping Check and ensure all the site changes are incorporated in the as built drawings. Maintain material traceability, fit-up, visual, dimensional, alignment, levelness records for final documentation.
