Gained extensive and intensive work experience at a law firm which specialises in litigation. I was able to attend the High Court and assist the attorney, Mr Viren Singh with a case which went to trial. The trial lasted two days and I aided the attorney in preparing his argument by finding relevant case law on the issues in dispute (quantum relating to damages) which he then went on to use in his final argument. I learnt a lot not only about the strict court procedures, but also about substantive law and how to deal with clients as well as expert witnesses. Some of the opposition parties in the cases I assisted with include the Minister of Police, Minister of Law and Order as well as the RAF. This was indeed an invaluable experience. Show less
