I have had the opportunity to work with Prashant on multiple projects at Saarland University and DFKI. During our time as students at the university, both of us worked as a team on a project as part of the Software Engineering course offered that semester. His knowledge of software engineering principles and his ability to implement them in practice was really commendable. He acted as the leader of our team through which he made sure that we followed the best practices in developing our product. He also insisted that we follow the scrum methodology and that I think was a very crucial decision which led to the success of our project. This experience with him made me not only his strong grasp of the software engineering principles but also about his formidable leadership skills. During my time at the DFKI, I closely worked with Prashant on various other projects with a wide range of topics. Most of the projects were exploratory in nature and required an in-depth understanding of machine learning(and deep learning) concepts. We had a lot of brainstorming sessions and his approach was always to read relevant research papers first and then try to implement them and finally, tune that to our requirement to achieve state-of-the-art results. He believed in this strategy very strongly and I feel this gives you an idea as to how clear he is in the thought process of formulating and tackling a problem. I found his applicative and theoretical knowledge of machine learning very thorough. He is also deeply passionate about automating the process of applying machine learning to real-world problems which were evident in the project discussions that we had and his inclination towards incorporating such processes. On multiple occasions, during many projects, Prashant has helped me in understanding several difficult concepts and possesses limitless patience when explaining concepts to his team members and colleagues. I would highly recommend him to any position in a research setting.

I have had the opportunity to work with Prashant on multiple projects at University of Saarland and DFKI. I found his applicative and theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning and AI very thorough. Prashant's knowledge and innovative ideas especially in the field of automated machine learning is very refreshing. The most impressive quality that I find about Prashant is his ability to accept when he doesn't have knowledge about a particular approach and his relentless pursuit to understand and adapt himself to the approach. On multiple occasions, during many a projects Prashant has helped me in understanding several difficult concepts and possesses limitless patience when explaining concepts to his team members and colleagues. I have observed Prashant excellent ability to lead and manage a team first hand and it would be my immense pleasure to recommend him for any position.
