Reliance Power is in association with Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Station (DCRTPP) part of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL). Part of the Top 10 Thermal Powerplants in India. Summer Trainee in Instrumentation and Control Analytics Division. Main Work of the Internship: ▪ Designed control and feedback systems for multiple instruments and mechanisms within the thermal power plant. ▪ Prepared weekly performance reports for the Senior Engineers by conducting statistical analysis of the instrumentation and the control system. ▪ Investigated faults and resolved server communication errors at the back-end of the system and developed an understanding of the functionality of the system’s computer architecture. ▪ Developed an understanding of the implementation of the Honeywell System used in the Instrumentation and Control Analytics Department. In the six weeks of the internship, I felt that learning the Honeywell System was an amazing experience as I finally understood how various plants or industries record, control and analyze large number of data. This helped me better understand the integration of the Honeywell System in various industries. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the hands-on experience of the internship. This internship gave me the opportunity to incorporate the invalubale knowledge I had obtained from the Electronics courses and laboratory work and implement it during the tasks I was assigned to for my internship.
