It's been a pleasure to have Pragya in my team. She made a strong impression to never settle for easy compromises and push the organization we were working in to look for better solutions. Improvement of the project execution model and implementation of a thorough screening process for capital projects have been Pragya's main contributions.

I have enjoyed working with Pragya. She is open minded and capable of working with people with different backgrounds (knowledge and/or culture). Her approach to tackle all kinds of subjects is clear and direct, but always in a respectful manner.

My first long term work experience outside my native country and this turned out to be a great opportunity to learn about a new industry, new culture and new geography! Had a phenomenal set of people around me who encouraged an environment of free thinking and healthy brainstorms over disagreements. Led the development of the annual business plan for my department, which included developing key strategies, priorities and targets and was the owner of six enabling strategies myself. Used the OGSM tool (objectives-goals-strategies-measure) for clear communication and monitoring. My role also involved review of ~60 capital expenditure projects annually. This meant critically analysing conceptual studies, alternatives and risk justifications and recommending projects for approval to the senior management. For a year I worked as a consultant to design and deploy an efficient logistics schedule to optimize costs. Worked closely with top tier consulting firms to reduce demurrage costs by 12% and losses in overall equipment effectiveness by 7%. Working with a great team, we also reached the finals of the Tata Business Leadership Awards in 2013 by proposing an entry strategy into Africa to increase the Group foothold. The idea also won the CEO award in Innovation category.

      • 2005 - 2009

Formative years of my career, I started as an Oracle database administrator (DBA) after engineering and moved to project management with some great mentoring and learning. Led the end to end application for customer delivery framework for a leading bank in North America. Managed a team of DBAs in different time zones. I really learned the art of structuring problems here and solving them in the most efficient manner, thanks to the agile methodology we followed in this project. My first project in TCS was to implement the Value Added Tax in Indian states which gave me exposure to liaising with senior officials in Indian State governments.Great learning of different management styles of handling government and private projects.
