REACH - TB Call to Action Project works towards fostering an enabling environment and empowering patients, civil society and affected communities to seek accountability and demand high-quality TB services. In my role, I partner with stakeholders in the community, government, non profit, academia, bi-lateral and multi-lateral agencies to make social inclusivity a reality for TB survivors and TB patients at various levels of decision making and programme implementation. I co-develop and support the roll out of implementable inter-sectoral strategies with government bodies such as RNTCP, State and District TB Cells, Department of Labour and Employment around the National Response to TB. I work closely with TB survivors to ensure their meaningful representation, ownership and amplification of community voices. My role involves spear heading mentorship programmes across Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Orissa, UP and Chattisgarh and the formation and strengthening of TB Survivors Networks. I work closely with the State Coordinator and State and District TB Cells to advocate for the formulation of State and District TB Fora and inclusion of TB survivors. I support and lead on generating evidence for better programming. In 2018, I supported the successful registration of TB Mukt Vahini- Bihar - the first ever registered network of TB Survivor in the country. That year, I was also part of developing a 4-day curriculum and training manual for the Central TB Division on capacity building of TB Survivors. In 2019, based on my experience and expertise and drawing from REACH, I wrote the draft NGO PP Guidelines for the Central TB Division which was adopted by the government and developed the Training Module for the Programme Managers of RNTCP for the Central TB Division. Following concerted effort on ground, 10 industries signed the Letter of Intent with the District TB Cell expressing their commitment for Employer Led Model for TB Care and Prevention in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
