  PRADIP KUMAR SADHU received Bachelor, Post-Graduate and Ph.D. (Engineering) degrees from Department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University, India. He is working as a Professor (HAG) & Ex-Head of Electrical Engineering Department of IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, India. Also, He served BIT, Mesra, Ranchi as faculty member of Electrical & Electronics Engg. Department. Prior to join BIT Mesra, also he served the different industries for twelve years. He has total experience of 35 years, out of which 23 years in teaching and 12 years industry. He has thirteen (13) Granted Patents & nineteen (19) patents in his name are under process. He has several journal and conference publications including IEEE Transactions on INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IEEE transactions on POWER SYSTEMS, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL, IEEE Access, Solar Energy, Renewable Energy, Building and Environment, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, IET Science Measurement & Technology, IET Smart Grid. He is principal investigator of few Govt. funded projects. He is reviewer of various international journals like IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, Solar Energy, Renewable Energy, etc. He has guided 19 Nos. of doctoral candidates and a large no. of M. Tech students. He published text books entitled, “Elements of Power Systems” under CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, “Modern Utilization of Electrical Power”, “Elements of Electrical Machines”, “Basic Electrical Engineering” under CBS Publication, with his co-author research scholar SOUMYA DAS. His current areas of interest are Power Electronics Applications, Application of High Frequency Converter, Energy Efficient Devices, Energy Efficient Drives, Computer Aided Power System Analysis, Condition Monitoring, Solar Energy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy and Lighting& Communication Systems for Underground Coal Mines.
