In 2016, due to my managerial abilities and my remarkable knowledge about waste incineration, I was appointed by the board of directors to become the head of the Tehran Waste Incineration Power Plant, performing a plan for generating more electricity from waste by using new and creative ideas. - Guiding, organizing and coordinating different unit managers and monitoring their performance according to the organizational KIPs, submitted reports and daily field visits. - Reviewing the night shifts' report on the electricity generation, following up to repair any possible defective equipment.- Presenting daily work process reports to the company's board of directors on the power generation, repairs and visits made by the municipality.- Directing the operation, maintenance and repair, support, administrative affairs, finance, HSE, warehousing, and security departments.- Supervising the proper implementation of HSE regulations and instructions, conducting daily visits to different sections to ensure that all responsibilities of security officers are performed.- Holding daily meetings with managers of different units, monitoring personnels' performance and creating a sense of empathy and dynamism in the complex to minimize the frequency of repairs and blackouts.- Supervising the purchase of mentioned departments required items and confirming the purchase order forms. ---- Highlighted Projects ----1) Design and construction of the cooling section's misting system Due to the power plant being located in a desert area, the hot weather caused a remarkable decrease in the efficiency of cooling fans, leading to either turning off the power plant or generating electricity with a minimum capacity. Provided a solution for this dilemma utilising the misting system as a practical way to increase the efficiency of the cooling systems. Teamed up a group of 10 consisting of experts from the operation, turbine and net unit (maintenance and repairs) to start the project.Responsibilities:Project management and leadership.Checking the advantages and disadvantages.Conducting financial estimates.Minimizing the budget to a minimum of 100$ by making use of the existing equipment.Achievements:8 ° C decrease in the ambient temperature of the cooling fans20% increase in efficiency in the turbine vacuum system200 MW additional monthly electricity production2) Waste power plants' overhaul operationAfter several meetings with repair specialists, a list of defective equipment was prepared, and a team was formed to monitor the daily progress of repairs according to the schedule. It cost about $ 50,000 and took 50 days to restart the power plant. Possessing the ability to make the best decisions in critical situations, I was invited to this company to work as an HSE expert. During my experience, I designed and developed the HSE plan, safety, health and environmental regulations and instructions, checklists and any necessary requirement. - Prepared and wrote power plant HSE policy with considering the statement of general policy on health and safety at work, the responsibility section and the arrangements section of all structural parameters.- Conducted additional arrangements in HSE management such as staff training, utilising signs to highlight risks, improved safety and additional personal protective equipment, including goggles, safety boots or high-visibility clothing, replacing hazardous chemicals with less harmful alternatives, refined lighting and anti-slip flooring. - Monitored the proper implementation of HSE-MS instructions and issued repair permits. - Held HSE training courses for the personnel about electrical safety, working at heights, firefighting, ergonomics and first aid.
