• Extracted business logic and data access logic from old API controllers and used DI to remove hard dependencies and enable unit testing and code reusability • Improved the performance by eliminating redundant round trips to the database decided based on stored meta data, optimized stored procedures, converted sequential out of process calls to run asynchronously on thread pool and in parallel where consistent with business logic, refactored the code to use appropriate data structures for different scenarios • Clarified the requirements, designed, and implemented master data feed handlers which consumed S3 objects of various formats and transformed their content to the same type objects and pushed them to Kafka. Then created a processor to consume from Kafka and update the time series data in Cassandra. - • Developed an internal facing micro-service to read the data from Casandra and make it available to other services. • Developed customer facing APIs which combined the data from various internal services and returned the requested data to the customers. • Developed multiple Micro-Services to improve client experience, or fulfill new needs • Maintaining and expanding Xignite DaaS that provides access to real-time and historical market data through APIs. • Maintaining and expanding Xignite main Feed Handler that provides access to real-time and historical market data through APIs. This service is used for processing US and global market data in real-time.
