I have completed PhD in Biomaterials. My doctoral research topic “Development and Evaluation of Carboxymethyl Cellulose based Composites for Hard and Soft Tissue Applications” is based on the preparation, characterization, in vitro and in vivo evaluation of cellulose based polymer membranes for wound healing applications. The research also focuses on the synthesis of novel biomimetic three-dimensional polymer/hydroxyapatite scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. I have also fabricated nano-fibrous scaffolds from polyelectrolyte polymer by electrospinning technique for possible applications in soft tissue engineering. Show less

I have worked as a Guest Researcher on “Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) based electrospun composite nanofibrous scaffolds for biomedical engineering purpose” from 1st April 2015 to 31st August 2015 at Institute of Multiphase Processes, Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany. This study was funded by the NiedersächsischesMinisteriumfürWissenschaft und Kultur (MWK) in the joint project SynFoBiA – “Novel synthesis and formulation methods for poorly soluble drugs and sensitive biopharmaceuticals”. I have worked as a Guest Researcher on “Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) based electrospun composite nanofibrous scaffolds for biomedical engineering purpose” from 1st April 2015 to 31st August 2015 at Institute of Multiphase Processes, Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany.
