  Graduate researcher under PI: Jureerut Daduang, Khon Kaen University, Thailand 2015-present PI: Jing-Gung Chung, PhD, China Medical University, Taiwan March 2017-September 2018 Investigate biophysical properties of RT2 and KT2 peptides in HCT 116 cells, such as being cell-penetrating peptides, cellular uptake mechanism (effects of cellular energy state and endocytosis inhibitor treatments) as well as subcellular localization at the peptide concentrations which did not affect cell viability Studied anticancer activity of these peptides both in vitro and in vivo, and its underlying mechanism on cancer cells Evaluated the effects of KT2 (lysine/tryptophan-rich AMP) on cell viability, surface charge of the cell membrane, membrane integrity, apoptotic cell death, and autophagy in human HCT 116 colon cancer cells Investigated anti-metastasis effect of KT2 in A375.S2 human melanoma cells and its underlying mechanism on cancer cells
