I worked as an intern in the marketing department for 4 weeks. I moved around the various marketing teams including - Customer Relations, Digital, Brochure and Campaign Management. I spent the majority of my time working in the advertising and brand promotion team in close relation to the PR team. I was able to apply my current university knowledge and put it into practical working situations. My time there allowed me to build upon and develop specific marketing skills I will need in the future. Show less

I completed a weeks work experience at Ptarmigan Media, a financial advertising and PR agency, in London Bridge. I worked in a small group to design a billboard advert which was displayed in Canary Wharf. I learnt the basics behind the different types of adverts for both print and digital, and different costings for ad placements. We were lucky enough to be shown around some of the top financial offices in London including: Google, Bloomberg, the FT and the Telegraph. The week was completed with an advertising pitch to the CEO of Ptarmigan. Doing this enabled me to practice my pitching skills and teamwork in a time pressured environment. Show less

I worked as a residential support worker, helping children with severe learning difficulties and special needs. I was able to form a strong relationship with both members of staff and children. This job allowed me to work in a team and how to handle pressurising situations in a calm and sensitive manner. I also acquired a wide range of training, including Team Teach level 3.
