Senior Information Technology Manager - strategic business projects
-
Aug 2016 - Nov 2019
• I have worked with the business to understand the technology constraints and proposed a business cases to introduce digital transformation for the Executive team. This projects were initially initiated in the claims area and as an outcome that reduced turnaround times significantly. • Reduced all IT findings to ZERO for the entire period I was employed at FEM which was the first time in 10 years since FEM had no IT audit findings.• Empowered and motivated staff to deliver on innovative projects. The continues audit findings for TCF was a concern for the business. I worked with the team to capitalise on existing resources and build an environment to manage TCF that has resulted in the reduction of TCF audit findings. • Delivered projects on both waterfall or agile approach. Through this I picked up a trend with system limitations and conducted a business review with the executive team to re look at all business processes as well. This resulted in a reduction of more than 15 % business processes. The initial budget for the new line of business system was now reduced, saving the firm financially. • The Chief Risk Officers duty was to relocate the head office where I was given the task to take over this project. I relocated head office with all requirements from health and safety, office layout, furniture, technology data centres and ergonomics that was a successful one which was done within 6 months with a tactical team. Within time, budget and all stakeholder satisfaction including the executive board.
