  My project title was on the Effect of Phototropic Microorganisms on Phenol contaminants in Wastewater. In this project, I was done the degradation of phenolic compounds that are present in the wastewater using Heterotrophic bacterias. The seven strains of Heterotrophic bacteria were used, which were isolated from the ETP water sample & wastewater sample for the degradation of the phenolic compounds. Based on morphology, physiology and biochemical tests PI-1, PI-2, PI-3, PI-4, PI-5, PI-6 & PI-7 were gram-negative and cocci shaped, among these strains PI-1 was the best and degrade the phenolic compounds in very less time because this isolate was more hydrophobic among all the strains.
