Digital Media Center Technician

Aug 2022 - Present
As a student employee for CU Environmental Design's Digital Media Center, I predominately work in the lab to edit and produce students' project deliverables, such as 3D printed models, large-format posters, and studio photographs of projects. We use an online job ticketing platform to receive projects, and we oversee the files to ensure there are no errors in file types ranging from PDFs to 3dms. During open hours, we offer guidance and tutorials on how to properly use the Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Rhino, whenever students want to come in and talk to us. We shoot, adjust studio-lighting, aperture, and shutter-speed in the photo studio with Nikon DSLRs. We also own a series of technological, drafting, and fabricating equipment that we rent out to students for free. Show less

Urban Design and Engagement Intern
-
Jan 2023 - May 2023
Growing Up Boulder (GUB) is a Boulder-based nonprofit aiding in the quest to make American cities officially child-friendly. As one of the nation's leaders in the Child-Friendly City Initiative (CFCI), GUB works with children, policy makers, business owners, educators, and community members in the city to greater improve Boulder's urban design. GUB adheres to the philosophy that young minds and ideas are not only worth listening to, but offer a whole different perspective from adults and should be taken seriously. As their urban design and engagement intern, I helped produce official documents, props, infographics, and reports for the organization as well as brainstorming engagement ideas and attending engagement events in places such as elementary schools and city-wide events. I will continue to be involved for as long as I am in Boulder! Show less
