My sole focus was bringing together Investors and Alternative Investment Managers in a trustworthy, direct and innovative way. The rapidly growing online and independent private capital marketplaces created a host of issues which ICP addressed. Among those are: fragmented access, misaligned objectives of marketplace intermediaries, opaque databases, sub-institutional quality deal opportunities, lack of trusted sponsors, and lack of broad adoption by institutional caliber investors. This situation created a growing divide between Emerging Managers, their Funds, and Private Companies and the investors they are looking to attract. Outside the online and independent private capital marketplaces, the institutional players have a bias towards larger, established investment prospects. The combination of these factors leaves a disproportionate amount of quality deals in the lower-middle private capital markets unaddressed by current market participants. To address this growing fragmentation between emerging/smaller scale Alternative Investment Managers and Accredited Investors ICP created a more efficient, stream-lined process saving time and resources for both Managers and Investors.
