As a Biologist I perform a wide range of duties that help in conserving the aquatic life. As a Biologist, I do monitoring, sampling, and evaluating the aquatic species to conduct environmental assessments, implement projects to evaluate the habitats, conduct educational programs and make sure that the fishing laws and regulations are being followed. To get a better idea, here is some detailed information about the key responsibilities that are handled by myself: *Gather information and summarize the details of biological data, collect samples, and study and research it to develop plans for fisheries management *Develop plans in such a way that the existing fisheries and habitat will be preserved and to provide the relevant technical assistance *Conduct field examinations and experiments to study the mortality rate, to identify the source for it, and provide relevant solutions for the same *Approve or disapprove the permits of land that would have an impact on the aquatic life *Ensure that the aquatic habitat is protected and to continuously make efforts to achieve those goals by coordinating with the environmental protection personnel and resource management as well as also the local, state, and federal government personnel *Review and implement the proposed plans of action, examine the quality of water, general life and health of the fish, their population and to harvest fish eggs In addition to the above responsibilities, I also engaged in the preparation of reports and presenting them to the senior personnel.
