  Francesco Lorenzetti è nato a Siena il 9 Ottobre 1976, dove tutt’ora vive e lavora. Cresciuto in un crocevia di influenze artistiche fin dall’infanzia, nel 2001 inizia a lavorare come grafico con quella che sarebbe poi divenuta sua moglie, Elena. L’influenza della suocera Rita e della sua famiglia artistica lo spinge nel 2005 a iniziare a disegnare concentrandosi sulla ritrattistica, sperimentando varie tecniche (polvere di grafite, circulismo) e medium (grafite, carboncino, matite colorate). Nel 2011 inizia a dipingere a olio, alternando tecnica fiamminga e pittura alla prima. Dei suoi Ritratti dice: « Quello che mi propongo quando eseguo un ritratto non è solamente catturare la somiglianza, ma “fermare” l’anima che regna nello sguardo e condividere attraverso essa gli stati d’animo che mi hanno ispirato ». ----------------------------------------- Francesco Lorenzetti was born in Siena, Tuscany (Italy) where he lives and works, on October 9th 1976 . He’s been drawing since 2005. He found out the passion for portrait since then. At the beginning, he was drawing his portraits by using mechanical pencil, graphite, charcoal according to circulism and graphite dust rules, but as a result of a neverending evolution process, he started to use a graphics tablet as the main means of expression. About his art he says: «What I want to do when I’m drawing a portrait is not only to catch the likeness but also to block the soul that stands in the look.
