Alongside the Community Coordinator Role, I have been assisting the Ursula Hall Reception as a Front Desk Officer. This role involves communicating with residents, families, and the public through phone and email correspondences. I was also tasked with communicating with contractors and key hall teams including kitchen, maintenance, and student leaders. This role also involved tasks including daily banking, canteen banking, check ins and outs, room inspections, mail, updating student details on Starrez, and taking payments from individuals for Hall services. Community Coordinator

The Community Coordinator role is a multifaceted role encompassing pastoral, community, and administration duties. The role primarily serves to support the pastoral team, especially the SRs, by looking out for the team’s socio-emotional wellbeing as well as facilitating relevant training and opportunities for the student leaders. In this role I assisted and supported the Head of Hall, Deputy Head of Hall, as well as the broader staff, student leaders, and community at Ursula Hall. In this role I also built a rapport with the both the SRs as well as the community through informal discussions as well as presence at events including Formal Dinners and Social Nights. From an administrative perspective, I assisted with event planning involving Functions on Campus, risk assessments, set-up, decoration, and pack-up. I also chaired or minuted pastoral meetings alongside my fellow Community Coordinator. In this role I wrote various reports and risk assessments as well as maintained and communicated through the Halls social media pages and university email. This role also involved maintaining financial reports and budgeting as I was entrusted to undertake transactions on behalf of the pastoral team. The Community Coordinator role also has an off-hours component where SRs would contact me to ask for advice on how to approach a situation or assist them in person. Situations I have been involved in a supportive role include mental health crises, first aid, fire alarm, noise complaints and disruptive residents. During this year, duties also extended to responding to the Covid-19 pandemic through sign creation, facilitation and coordination of isolation rooms, meal deliveries, and implementation of current Covid-19 procedures at a hall level. Senior Resident

Senior Residents are individuals who assist in the facilitation and fostering of a college community. This position is full time with irregular hours. In this position I coordinated and helped assist in the organisation, promotion, and running of events in the Hall including Jackbox TV Games Night and Cultural Week. I provided academic and pastoral support to residents as well as reported any concerns for residents with the Head of Hall. I also acted as SR-on-Duty where any Hall concerns or issues outside of office hours were reported to me whilst I was rostered in this sub-role. Concerns include maintenance, noise complaints, room access, lock outs, and broken keys. I also responded in my role as a Senior Resident to a variety of situations requiring action involving practical first aid, mental health first aid, as well as fire training. Show less

As a Full Time English Teacher at Killarney Heights High School, I was tasked with the design and implementation of new units of work and development of resources. Additionally, I was also tasked with communicating effectively with members of the English Faculty and School Administration, as well as the parents and guardians of the students I taught. I was tasked with providing for and facilitating children's play and learning through interactive 'cabinet of curiosities' talks as well as through arts and crafts at the museums' 'Imaginarium'. I worked within a team to provide a fun and educational experience for both children and their parents and guardians.
