  I transferred to DNV GL's head office in Oslo where I joined a team working on Operational Risk Management in Oil and Gas. Here I sold, developed and managed projects of £800,000+ with large multi-disciplinary teams and several stakeholders. Projects primarily focused on HSEQ regulatory advisory, assisting customers in interpreting regulations and finding smart operational and cost-effective solutions. Designed strategies, systems, policies and procedures in line with international regulatory requirements, ISO Standards and best practice. Responsible for building and meeting project budgets, leading and motivating project teams, all the while ensuring that quality was not compromised and that customer expectations were met. Contributed to service development and continual improvement within the department.

  Sold and worked on a variety of risk management projects during five years as an environmental consultant, including environmental baseline studies and impact assessments, environmental due diligence, environmental compliance verification and ISO 14001 auditing along the whole energy value chain. Seconded to BP as internal auditor for three months and to the South Hook LNG facility as HSE advisor part-time for eight months. Provided training in energy productivity systems and modern safety management and compliance to colleagues and clients. Apart from being based in Houston and London for DNV, travelled to China, Kuwait, Oman, Kazakhstan, Angola and throughout Europe for projects.
