The first time he worked from VIII.2015 to IX.2015 contracted for specific work; the second time he worked in the period from VIII.2016 to IX.2016 on a contract of mandate. The conservation program focused mainly on preservation treatments that would secure objects chosen from the Special Collections Department of CBW against further destruction and enable them to be digitized. Mr. Popławski conducted full conservation of 38 posters (dated back to second half of XX century), one map of Warsaw (dated back to 1946) and two ephemera (one dated back to 1840 and the other to 1943). Mr. Popławski has showed prudence, responsibility, and self-reliance in decision-making. The conservation treatments were preceded by a carefully prepared plan of conservation works. The effect of the conservation works was highly appreciated by supervising conservators and by curators of the Special Collections Department. The conservation works are of high quality, supported by a thorough knowledge of conservation methods and materials. Mr. Piotr Popławski is a disciplined, conscientious and obliging person. He is able to work individually but he will also provide reliable assistance in a team. We wish him success in his future efforts.
