I mentored Ping directly + with his cross-functional team as part of Co.Lab's product development bootcamp. Ping was the product manager on the project and worked with 2 software developers and 1 designer to conceive of, validate, build, test, and launch a new product in a very short time frame - 8 weeks! Ping did an exceptional job stepping into product leadership shoes and lead the team through each step of the development process. He asked great questions and despite dealing with numerous challenges (i.e. juggling a full time job, working with team mates in Germany across time zones, and starting off behind the other groups), he adapted quickly and brought the project to life within the time frame. The first time I saw the design and functional prototype, I was literally blown away. Ping is an effective communicator, a great teammate, and an amazing leader. He has great product sense and is able to combine putting the user first with his engineering background to be an exceptional product manager. I would recommend Ping for any opportunities, and hope to get to work with him in the future!

I Endorse Ping, and without hesitation, I will give him my highest recommendation. A year ago I took part into Ping's interview. I gave my recommendations, ATS gave the offer, and we're blessed that Ping took the job and joined ATS. Ping's skillsets are sound, and we're so glad to have him onboard; but that is NOT the (only) reason I'm giving Ping my recommendations. A year from then, Ping had decided to leave the group. Ping has shown many promising contributions, and was already a strong force in the team; his absence will be missed. But one has their commitments they must look after, and we'd respect his decision to leave. What's important is afterwards: Ever since his leave announcement, and till the very last minute: as long as Ping was still part of the team, he did not back down; he made sure all task in hand were either completed, or was handed off with a high note; and when unforeseen events occurred, he would even take ownership, and went above and beyond to make sure the team that is remaining can still set sail in the right path. Actions speak louder than words, and I believe Ping's action spells out a lot about his characters. I will recommend Ping, and will wish him the best forward.
