Within the consumer electronic division, I had the chance to work on several full customs PMIC for high-end customers. I was specialized in Buck and Boost design. This included a 10V Boost converter powering white LED (2 white LEDs connected in series) and a 5V Boost converter delivering up to 1.6A with a switching frequency scaling on the fly feature. I also worked on multi-phase Buck, high efficiency LDO (2uA biasing current) and linear battery charger. My task started on product definition, studying and selecting the most adequate architecture. Then I had to implement the changes validated through PVT characterization. I was also in charge of supporting top level validation with parasitic extraction and layout review. My task ended once the test program is verified and fully functional to enter mass production. Show less

Dolphin integration is a small fabless company specialized in high performance audio CODEC IP. After two internships there during my engineering studies, I decided to join them to work on innovative products and to strengthen my skills in ADC / DAC delta sigma design.First, I had the opportunity to work on audio CODECs for emerging markets. I studied and designed different circuit topologies for ADC and DAC converters (core) which include choice of architecture, stability study, subcells specification, design and layout review. Our single-bit audio ADC succeeded in reaching 94dB SNR and up to 98dB SNR for the multi-bit version using a 3 level modulator and a data weighted averaging algorithm. I also worked on an audio ADC spinoff for a 124dB seismic ADC with 1.6mW power budget. This project required architecture reuse with the addition of an innovative kT/C noise reduction system (patented) to meet schedules.I also designed different kinds of DACs: switched-capacitor sigma-delta, current-mode semi-digital reconstruction filter based on a Finite-Impulse-Response filter followed by a RC filter, an open-loop approach for class D DAC with PWM modulation. To demonstrate the impact of THD, noise and phase lag on signal quality, I programmed small software (C based) modeling ADC and DAC channels and exhibiting the impact of these parameters on sound quality.
