Paul and I met several years ago through our work in the Michigan Hospice Volunteer Coordinators' Association (MHVCA), where we both served on the Board of Directors. He has shared many ideas over the years about creative events and fund raisers he was working on in hospice, including programs for children. Paul has a special passion for working with kids. He is very computer literate, and excels at using social media to benefit the work environment. He was instrumental in setting up and maintaining an active Face Book Page for MHVCA's local region.

Alana Knoppow, MSW

I work with Paul as co-chair of the Michigan Hospice Volunteer Coordinators Association for the southeast region. Paul is always delightful to work with, and is clearly a subject matter expert in the field of volunteer management.

I manage the volunteer program for the Southfield office which covers all of southeast Michigan. I am responsible for the recruitment of individuals and groups from the community to volunteer their time sitting with terminally ill patients and/or providing breaks for caregivers. Currently our program includes field placements for social work, and health services administration. We also include pet therapy, bereavement camps and traditional volunteer responsibilities.
