  • National ‘Librarian of the year’ award for ‘Children and Young People’s’ category.• 2nd place ‘Small Team of the Year’ for national local government awards.* Delivered a seminar at an International Libraries Conference (ASCEL)• Developed a team of approximately 30 young volunteers that all went on to win ‘Young Person of the Year’ awards, with my youth project also becoming shortlisted for the British Youth Awards, as well as earning my library a ‘Library of the Month’ award during the most competitive month. • Managed and coordinated a Home Library Service, which delivered books to some of our most isolated members of the community before and during the pandemic.• Produced a countywide reading initiate after successfully fighting to pilot a scheme locally. • Introduced Virtual Reality into North Yorkshire Libraries, after winning a competitive £2,000 bid via a presentation to senior stakeholders and service directors.• Advocated for and then developed an innovative team comprised of cross-county young library assistants that has went on to make positive service changes throughout North Yorkshire.• Coordinated a wide variety of events, from school assemblies and tech talks, to multi-partner exhibitions and digital campaigns.• Delivered multiple conference talks, with one earning myself personal praise from the CEO of North Yorkshire County Council, as well as an assistant director. • Being nominated and shortlisted for NYCC’s ‘People’s Choice Award’ for my work with LGBTQ+ and Mental Health offers, as well as the creation of the ‘Young Adult Library Team’.• Named as a ‘Hidden Hero’ twice on NYCC’s internet, with my work fetching a number of articles, as well as being published into an industry journal.• Helped get a library showcased on TV.• General library duties – (Customer service, stock management, shelving, story times etc.) Show less
